The Axemen Women's rugby team is growing rapidly and is looking for new players in Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton, and Britannia Beach.

Mel Michener
Head Coach
Experience and patience go hand in hand and Mel has gifted us with both. We would be lost without Mel.
​
Mel was introduced to rugby in high school and went on to play for Rugby Ontario and the Guelph Gryphons before having to end their rugby career early due to injuries. They are happy to be giving back to a sport community that has meant so much to them.

Coming from Ireland and the highest level of rugby the women’s program has seen, Julz has a wealth of knowledge to bring and we are so lucky she’s on OUR team.
Élise Dubé and Kat Doyle
Captains
Team Captain: Elise - our fearless leader on field, catch her if you can! You won’t, she’s too fast.

Club Captain: Kat - Probably the first person on the team you’ll talk to and the one organizing (almost) everything behind the scenes. You’ll never know who she’ll recruit next.
